Jesse Tyler Ferguson recently recalled getting caught by the police during his teenage years.

Speaking to Mel Giedroyc on her podcast Where There’s a Will There’s a Wake, Jesse shared that he was aged 14 or 15 and was trying to explore his sexuality when he was caught stealing a raunchy magazine.

He confessed, “I was caught stealing p********* when I was very young. Not very young, but like early teens.”

The host joking confirmed, “Top shelf? Top shelf,” which prompted the 59-year-old to reveal, “Yeah it was pretty good p***.”

Disclosing his age when the incident happened, Jesse continued, “I think I was 14, 15.....

“But I do feel bad about it, but I want everyone to be clear before I go into heaven that it wasn't because I was… I didn't want to be a criminal,” he admitted.

He then justified his move by stating that he “ just felt like at that time in my life,” he was not given “a lot of the choices.”

“There was not a lot available to me to explore my sexuality. I had to do what I needed to do,” he remarked in conclusion before addressed that the police was able to catch him because of the metal sensors places insider the magazine at that time.
