Arnold Schwarzenegger recalls 'the whole' wedding drama

Arnold Schwarzenegger is looking back at a wild moment from his wedding to Maria Shriver that took an unexpected turn thanks to Grace Jones and Andy Warhol.

The 77-year-old Actor and former Governor of California appeared on the Monday, June 16 episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, where he recalled how singer Jones and the deceased visual artist Warhol made it to his wedding to ex-wife, Shriver.

Schwarzenegger, who was married to Shriver, a journalist by profession, from 1986 to 2021, reflected on his friendship with Warhol by saying, “He came to the wedding. He was a master in attention, getting attention. We were in the middle of the wedding and Maria and I were standing out there about to say, ‘I do’ and the whole thing.’” (sic)

“And all of a sudden, ‘Wham!’ And everyone turned around and there was Andy Warhol opening up the doors in the back of the church with Grace Jones,” he recounted.

Mayers jokingly added, “What a plus one,” to which The Terminator star quipped, “I’m telling you.”

“So, they both were standing there and the silhouette. They did the whole drama, they kept the door open and so you could look at it and you saw the silhouette but you couldn't quite identify,” Schwarzenegger continued.

“And then all of a sudden, the doors closed and they came up the aisle, slowly walking up the aisle and then sitting down in the front. It was absolutely fantastic,” the Predator actor shared.

Before concluding, it is pertinent to mention that Schwarzenegger and Shriver together welcomed daughters Katherine, 35, and Christina, 33, and sons Patrick, 31, and Christopher, 27.
