Brad Pitt went through four months of grueling training to be able to play F1 driver Sonny Hayes. The speed lover returns to the sport to team up with a younger driver for one last shot at glory.
When asked if he was nervous to drive alongside seven times F1 world champion and producer of the film, Lewis Hamilton, he told E! Online, “Yes I was,” and reiterated, “Hell yess!”
The Troy star continued, “Can you imagine the gall? I’m gonna drive (with) seven time world champion around the track. Like, the absurdity of that?”
“But I swallowed it, and its humbling,” he shared, adding that Lewis is a “great human being.”
“We just couldn’t have made the movie without his expertise,” he added, praising the Formula 1 champion.
Elsewhere in the interview, which also included Javier Bardem, the interviewer asked if they’d be up for a sequel.
Brad jokingly noted that they would, but the sequel would likely not feature their characters.
He said, “I would, (but) the problem is gonna be that Damson will be the veteran. There’d be some new kid coming in.”
“So where we fit in,” he joked, with Javier laughing, “we’ll be sweeping up after everyone or something.”
Brad Pitt attended the F1 premiere with his girlfriend Ines de Ramon by his side on June 16. The actor looked smitten as his girlfriend stunned in a sheer white top paired with a thick black belt and a white feathered skirt.
