Prince Harry had stressed that he would never bring back his wife and children to the UK, when he lost his security appeal in May 2025. In the BBC interview he mentioned wanting a reconciliation with his family but also insisted that he needed police protection first.

Fast forward to a year later, the Sussex family arrived on British soil, met with King Charles and Queen Camilla. Around six weeks later, it was revealed that the Sussexes are moving back to the UK, with a verdict for security remains pending.

Experts believe that it is no coincidence that RAVEC (the Royal and VIP Executive Committee) finally completed its long-awaited risk management board review. According to The Royalist’s Tom Sykes, the assumption that Charles was not somehow involved in the matter is absolutely “absurd”.

He believes that campaign to get state-funded security upon his return to England is well underway, even though the British public may be unhappy with it.

“Harry is being folded back into British life by his father,” Tom claimed. Meanwhile, sources close to Harry have maintained that the King could get security for his son if he wanted and it looks like he has now done so.

Although, Tom said that the King might face the consequences of his decision. He urged that the King’s Office should issue a transparent statement on the matter if he is doing such a thing.

It was a court decision that Harry had defied to ask for a review when he privately made the request to current Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood. Hence, Charles intervening in the matter could be a bad signal.

“Defying the people is a very unwise move for a monarch,” Tom said, noting that this matter is not ending any time soon.
