Penn Badgley reunites with 'Gossip Girl' co-star for new role

Gossip Girl stars Penn Badgley and Meghann Fahy are set to play the lead role in the upcoming movie.

While Penn is famously known for playing the role of Dan Humphrey in the show, Meghann had a brief appearance in the third season of Gossip Girl.

Now, the two co-stars are set to play the lead roles in Amazon MGM romantic comedy You Deserve Each Other. The film is based on the 2020 novel by Sarah Hogle.

It is worth mentioning that before the announcement of the new project, Penn took to Instagram and gave a shout out to Meghann.

In the video shared, the actor filmed himself praising Meghann’s recent role in the Netflix series Sirens. He also tagged the actress in the caption.

You Deserve Each Other, directed and written by Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn, the duo behind rom-coms like Never Been Kissed and He’s Just Not That Into You, is described as a ‘lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers rom-com.'

While Penn Badgley and Meghann Fahy are confirmed to lead the film, the production and release date have not been announced yet.
