Eric Dane breaks silence on wife Rebecca Gayheart reunion amid ALS diagnosis

Eric Dane opened up about where things stand with wife Rebecca Gayheart after their recent reconciliation.

In a recent chat with Good Morning America's Diane Sawyer, the Grey's Anatomy actor candidly shared rare insights into his relationship with Rebecca after years of rift.

It is pertinent to mention that back in February 2018, Rebecca filed for divorce from Eric, however, the pair seemed to have reconciled in March 2025.

The 79-year-old host inquired the Bad Boys: Ride or Die actor, about the person he reached out to first when he needed support, Eric replied by mentioning his wife, Rebecca.

"I call Rebecca. I talk to her every day," Eric said with tears in his eyes.

Gushing over his bond with the Beverly Hills, 90210 actress, he said, "We have managed to become better friends and better parents."

"And she is probably my biggest champion, my most stalwart supporter, and I lean on her," Eric added.

Following their reconciliation, Eric revealed in April that he had been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and shared elsewhere in the interview that his "right side has completely stopped working" due to the ongoing health battle. 

“I feel like maybe a couple more months and I won’t have my left hand either. It’s sobering," he told Diane.
