Sir Rod Stewart slams Glastonbury label ahead of BIG show

Sir Rod Stewart has revealed one thing that he finds horrible about the Glastonbury slot.

During his conversation on the BBC's Sidetracked podcast, the legendary rockstar, who is set to take the coveted 'legends' slot on the Pyramid Stage at this year's festival, said that the one thing he finds horrible is the name of the performance slot.

Rod said that while he doesn't mind being called "legend" the label "teatime slot" sounds outdated.

He said, "I don't mind. I obviously think I deserve it. I just wish they wouldn't call it the teatime slot" adding that the term is "horrible."

Speaking about his set, Rod also added, "We're working on the set list, but not too hard. I wanna try and treat it like any other game, you know, although it's not; it's Glastonbury."

"But I've only got an hour and...only had an hour and 15, and I demanded an hour and a half because I just...so many songs. You know, obviously, this'll be the last time I do it," he added.

Sir Rod Stewart noted, "So, I want it to be memorable, but I'm just gonna go in, have a few drinks before I go on and enjoy myself like I've always done all my life."

It is worth mentioning that this comes as his wife Penny Lancaster, has spoken about Rod reflecting more on his mortality following the recent loss of his brothers.
