Winnik, who played Lagertha in the original Vikings, is seen speaking on stage,  discussing either her role and the legacy of the original series, or how it connects to Vikings: Valhalla.

Although Winnick isn’t in Valhalla, the makers of the new series wanted to bridge the gap between the original Vikings and its Netflix sequel with her powerful presence.

Vikings Valhalla is set a hundred year after the events of Vikings.

"A hundred years have passed and a new generation of legendary heroes arises to forge its own destiny — and make history," reads the synopsis of the series starring Sam Corlett, Leo Suter, Frida Gustavsson and others.

The streaming giant has confirmed that the series will conclude with its third season which premiered on July 11 ,2024.
