Tom Cruise reportedly has been hit with a shocking news.
As per the latest findings of RadarOnline.com, the musician who composed the iconic theme song of Mission: Impossible passed away.
Reportedly, the Oscar winning composer Lalo Schifrin died aged 93 in his home in Los Angeles, surrounded by family. The cause of his demise was revealed to be due to complications from pneumonia.
Sharing the actor’s sentiments over this sad news, a source told the outlet, "Tom was devastated when he heard the news, Schifrin played such a huge role in the global success of the franchise.”
"He will ensure the musician is very much cemented into the legacy of the movies," the source established.
This report comes weeks after Tom Cruise bid farewell to his Ethan Hunt role with the movie, Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, which was released on 21st May 2025.
Taking to his official Instagram handle, the star reflected on his journey with the franchise by writing, "Over 30 years ago, I began the journey of producing my first film, Mission: Impossible."
"Since then, these eight films have taken me on the adventure of a lifetime. To the incredible directors, actors, artists, and crews across the globe that have helped bring these stories to life, I thank you. It has been a privilege to work alongside you all," Cruise added.
He went on to thank fans, writing, "Most importantly, I want to thank the audience, for whom it is our great pleasure to create these films, and for whom we all serve. We're thrilled to share The Final Reckoning with you."
