YUNGBLUD marked a major milestone with his latest released album, Idols.
The 27-year-old rock star landed his third consecutive Official Charts Number one with the 2025 album along with his 2020’s weird! and self-titled 2023 release YUNGBLUD.
This completes his chart-topping hat-trick in the UK while his 2019 EP the underrated youth peaked at Number 6 on the charts upon its release.
YUNGBLUD’s achievement comes after he hosted his second BLUDFEST at The National Bowl, Milton Keynes and told his fans, "I was so f**king nervous to release this album. It's been four years in the making, but to see the amount of love that you are giving it… I love you all so much."
Previously, the When We Die hitmaker also opened up to The Sun about why he went back home, in Leeds, to record Idols.
“I needed to go back north, to family. Because when you write a record with family, they don’t give a f**k about hits, they don’t give a f**k about radio,” he told the outlet previously.
"All I want is the truth out here. My mum will tell me when I’ve been a d**k,” the rocker added.
Additionally, YUNGBLUD also discussed how he wanted his latest music to sound “unmistakably British” saying, “I love British music, British art — and I’m so happy to be British. I don’t think there’s enough British music at the forefront of the British music industry right now, so I wanted to make a record that sounded unmistakably British.”
