Kensington Palace has shared stunning photos of Kate Middleton and Prince William with a sweet statement after the Princess of Wales skipped the luncheon party hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla at Windsor Castle.
The Order of the Garter is the oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain. Each year, it is celebrated with a procession and service in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
Following the service and procession, King Charles and Queen Camilla gave a Luncheon Party for the Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.
The Prince of Wales, Prince Andrew, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent were present.
Later, Kensington Palace, on behalf of Kate Middleton and Prince William released photos from the service and procession.
They posted the pictures with caption, “A pleasure attending the Order of the Garter today in Windsor. A brilliant celebration of tradition, service and duty. Thank you to everyone involved.”
Commenting on the post, one royal fan says, “It was absolutely wonderful to see you two again! Both of you looked so beautiful and super elegant (as always)!”
Another said, “We should be proud of our history and our traditions. This event is one of the most traditional ceremonies.”
