King Charles finally takes big step regarding Prince Andrew, Royal Lodge

King Charles has reportedly made a big decision about his brother Prince Andrew and his residence Royal Lodge.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, the monarch may have suspended his bid to remove brother Andrew from Royal Lodge.

But the Crown Estate, which owns the property, is losing patience with the disgraced prince.

The report claims that it appears that the Duke of York, who paid upwards of £7.5million on renovations when given a 75-year lease in 2003, has maintained the interior but there is a rumbling dispute about who is responsible for extensive external repairs to the 30-room mansion.

The Duke should be safe until 2028. He is entitled to a partial rebate on his outgoings if given the order of the boot at the end of his first 25 years of his lease, the report further says.

The fresh claims came amid reports King Charles has made a special agreement with his brother, according to royal sources, the Marie Claire reported.

Palace also revealed in the Court circular that Prince Andrew attended the Luncheon Party for the Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Garter hosted by the King and Queen.

The palace says, “16 June 2025, Windsor Castle: The King and Queen gave a Luncheon Party for the Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Garter at which The Prince of Wales, The Duke of York (Prince Andrew), The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and The Duke of Kent were present.”
