Courteney Cox shares one final memory of Hayden Panettiere

Courteney Cox remembered her late Scream co-star Hayden Panettiere with some very kind words, sharing what she was like when they worked together for the last time.

Cox spoke about Panettiere while talking to Entertainment Weekly at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The two actresses first worked together in Scream 4 in 2011 and later met again for Scream VI in 2023.

Panettiere played Kirby Reed in the movies, meanwhile Cox played Gale Weathers, a role that she got ever since the first horror movie.

Speaking about her former co-star, Cox said: “She’s a really wonderful actor.”

The Friends icon, however, also remembered how Panettiere was during their last time working together, sharing she was “really fun and happy and smart.”

The actress then spoke about how difficult her death has been. “It’s really sad. It’s obviously horrible,” Cox added.

Panettiere died on August 16 at the age of 36 as she was known for many roles, including Heroes and Nashville.

After her death, many of her former co-stars also shared memories of her. The Heroes cast even came together to remember her and celebrate her life.

Moreover, Cox’s words now gave fans a sweet memory of Panettiere.
