Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo achieved a shared milestone and their often opposing fandoms have united to celebrate.
The 36-year-old pop superstar and the drop dead hitmaker, 23, have both tied for a major record on Spotify Global charts.
Swift and Rodrigo are now the female artists with the most weeks at #1 in Spotify Global Weekly Top Albums chart history with 32 weeks each.
Given their history of rumoured drama and songwriting credits feud, both fandoms took to social media to celebrate while some drew daggers.
A fan wrote, "Oh Mother and Daughter running the charts," and "both my queens," added another.
While one Swiftie noted, "Taylor was off the platform for 3 years after 1989," and "32 weeks sounds impressive until you remember Taylor wasn’t even around for Spotify’s entire era. Olivia’s achievement is real, but framing it like she’s surpassed the biggest streaming forces ever is… generous."
However, a Rodrigo fan argued, " albums vs 12 albums."
Another chimed in, "taylivia crumbs," referring to the two musicians, who shared a mutual admiration, having distanced each other after the drama ensued.
