Princess Beatrice shares one special thing in common with niece Adelaide

Buckingham Palace had announced earlier this month that Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank had welcomed their third baby – their first daughter – in Portugal.

The delightful news was accompanied by a photo which did not reveal the face of the new-born and the name was kept out of the announcement. It was only two weeks later on Monday, when the proud parents shared the meaningful name they had given their daughter: Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank.

In a surprise turn of events, it appears that the new bundle of joy as something in common with her loving aunt, Princess Beatrice.

Beatrice, who is a mum to two daughters herself, is understood to be very excited for her sister and to be an aunt of a niece. It turns out that it took almost the same amount of time to announce Adelaide’s name to the public as much as it took for Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s eldest daughter.

Moreover, the aunt and niece also share ‘Elizabeth’ as their middlename, whereas Eugenie’s full name is Eugenie Victoria Helena Mountbatten-Windsor.

Eugenie and Jack wanted to take their time choosing a name for their daughter, announcing it when they felt the time was right, per Hello!.

According to the findings of the outlet, it is not uncommon for royals to take their sweet time to announce the baby names. However, it appears the Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were the ones to take the longest to reveal King Charles’s name.

It was only confirmed that they had chosen the name of Charles one day before he was christened on 13 December 1948, meaning that the public had to wait for 29 days to learn the name of the future monarch.
