Mariah Carey recently confirmed that she has wrapped up the recording of her latest album.

In a new chat with Zane Lowe and Ebro Darden at the new Apple Music Studios during a live broadcast celebrating the steamer's 10th anniversary, the songbird teased new music.

Keeping all the major details of her forthcoming album under wraps, she shared during this chat, "I’m trying not to tell too much about the new album.”

Nonetheless, she sang, “‘It’s a special occasion/ Mimi’s emancipation’” saying “that’s a lyric from one of my songs.”

"What is next? The album coming out. I don’t wanna tell too much about it because I just don’t want to reveal the whole thing,” she added.

In conclusion, she maintained that she has finished the work on her 16th studio album, “It’s finished.”

It is pertinent to mention here that Mariah’s latest work is the follow-up to 2018's Caution.

The songstress made her music debut with her very first self-titled album called Mariah Carey in 1990 and went on to produce Emotions, Music Box, Merry Christmas, Daydream, Butterfly, Rainbow, Glitter, Charmbracelet, The Emancipation of Mimi, E=MC², Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, Merry Christmas II You, Me.
