Johnny Depp got candid about his reduced social activity in recent years.
In a candid Interview with The Sunday Magazines, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor actor revealed why he avoids night outs with friends.
The 62-year-old actor, who recently took a break from acting amid his legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard, shared that he prefers a more quiet lifestyle.
"To this day I just rarely go out," Johnny told the outlet. “If friends invite me out for Mexican, I say, 'Dude, that’s sweet of you but I will ruin your night.’”
Depp revealed the reason for doing so is to protect his close pals from uninvited attention.
“My presence will bring attention and, Jesus, I have had almost 40 years of fame but I'm still not used to it,” he noted, adding, “And I’m glad I’m not."
Moreover, the Edward Scissorhands actor shared elsewhere in the interview, that he does not recommend acting life to his kids due to the harsh reality Hollywood fame trap.
“Sometimes kids say to me, ‘I want to be an actor, what’s your advice?’ And I say, ‘Don’t be!’" the father of two noted, "I know what’s coming for them. I was chucked on that road and the only advice that I can give is, ‘Don’t allow anyone to make you something you are not.’"
The actor is father to daughter Lily-Rose and son Jack, with ex Vanessa Paradis.
