Prince William has made his mind not to let Prince Andrew return to his royal duties amid his ongoing scandals.
The Prince of Wales has reportedly made it clear that he doesn’t want the Duke of York to return to any royal duties, as he sees him as a risk to the Royal family’s image.
According to The Sunday Times, William believes Andrew’s past connections to Jeffrey Epstein and a suspected Chinese spy, Yang Tengbo, continue to damage the monarchy’s reputation.
This comes after William, and his wife Kate Middleton, skipped the traditional service at St George’s Chapel, where Andrew was present with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson.
A source shared with The Sun that “the door to a return is firmly closed” for Andrew.
Royal expert Phil Dampier previously spoken on the possibility of Andrew resuming his royal duties, saying, “It is absolutely true to say that William is one of the driving forces behind making sure there’s no future for the Duke of York.”
"He doesn’t believe he can make a comeback, and there is, I’m told, quite a lot of friction between them,” he added.
“It made it a lot easier, I think, for Andrew that William wasn’t there.”
