Kensington Palace releases full video of Prince William, Cate Blanchett's visit

Prince William and actor Cate Blanchett put on lab coats and goggles for a visit to a 2023 Earthshot Prize finalist in eastern England.

The pair were given a tour of Colorifix, a company based in Norfolk that creates natural dyes through a biological process that replaces the use of harmful chemicals.

The royal family released a full video of the duo's visit with a caption that read, "Visiting 2023 Earthshot Finalst Colorifix for a demonstration of how the natural world is powering a sustainable dye revolution. Joined by Prize Council Member Cate Blanchett to see how this innovation can ‘Build a Waste-free World’, one thread at a time."

Blanchett serves as a member of the council that selects the winners each year.

Earlier, multiple pictures of Prince William and Cate Blanchett were also shared on the Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

"A visit to the brilliant Ccolorifix Today with Earthshot Prize Council Member Cate Blanchett. An Earthshot Prize 2023 Finalist, Colorifix use cutting-edge DNA science to revolutionise fabric dyeing," said the caption accompanying their photos.

It added, "Toxic chemicals are eliminated and water waste is reduced by using DNA to copy natural colours from plants, animals, or microbes - creating dyes without using harmful chemicals. This innovation offers real hope for a cleaner, sustainable future in fashion."
