Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have sparked another controversy with their latest trip to Disneyland to celebrate their daughter’s fourth birthday.
The Duchess of Sussex recently took to Instagram to reveals she and the Duke marked Princess Lilibet’s birthday at Disneyland with a video featuring moments from their two-day trip.
“Thank you @disneyland for giving our family two days of pure joy!” she captioned the post.
However, the video did not sit well with the couple’s critics as royal commentator Rupert Bell said the Sussexes were in "the VIP lane with extra bells on.”
Speaking with Talk TV's David Bull, who described it as "bizarre,” the expert said Harry and Meghan’s visit looked "so controlled" and "manicured.”
While Meghan has disabled commenting on her Instagram posts, people were able to express their views on the video shared by other media outlets.
Many called out Harry and Meghan over their privacy stance, while others accused them of using their kids for “attention.
“And thus continues the World Wide Privacy Tour,” penned one while another commented, “Photo op before pawning the kiddies back over to their nannies.”
“How typical... covering the face of the kids...and using their name and photo for attention,” a third penned.
“This isn’t about her child’s birthday at all. It about her starving for attention,” one critic penned.
Another said, "He spends how many millions of dollars screaming that he needs security for his family? And then he takes them to a place that has how many thousands of people every day and they don’t get accosted or harassed at all.”
“Harry likes to think he’s important and needs security, but he proves time and time again he does not,” the comment added.
However, some fans of the couple also tried to defend them with one writing, “Stop being horrible to this family they’re just loving their children and want them to have a fun birthday.”
