Meghan Markle and Prince Harry face another major staff shakeup

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are undergoing another major staff reshuffle as four more team members called it quits recently.

The recent staffing transition comes after two staff members quit working for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex last year, People Magazine confirmed.

Staffers who have left include Los Angeles-based deputy press secretary Kyle Boulia and U.K. press officer Charlie Gipson, who were both hired just last year, Hello! Magazine reported this Friday.

The shift comes after the couple hired Meredith Maines as their first chief communications officer earlier this year. She previously worked for Google, Hulu, and American Idol.

Maines addressed her exit in a statement, sharing her anticipation for her journey ahead.

"As the Duke and Duchess's business and philanthropic interests grow, I have made the strategic decision to move toward a more traditional communications structure of specialist agency support, as previously reported in Forbes and PR Week several weeks ago."

"Transitioning from a team of two to an agency support staff of eight, operating across five different time zones, will give international media and stakeholders better access, and critically, faster response times to inquiries," she added.

The couple also recently welcomed ex-Netflix employee Emily Robinson as a new director of communications and retained a team from Method Communications.

A source shared their two cents on the matter, telling Hello! Magazine, "Something tells me there will be another change in the future. Meghan and Harry have hired some of the most incredible people at the top of their fields, yet somehow none of them ever work out."

Meghan rejoined Instagram at the start of 2025 after disabling her social media accounts ahead of her 2018 wedding to Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Sussex has since raised curtains on her personal elements of life at home with Harry and their children, 6-year-old son Prince Archie and 4-year-old daughter Princess Lilibet.

Meghan has also been promoting her new lifestyle brand, As Ever, and her Netflix show With Love, Meghan, which debuted in March.
