Katy Perry, Justin Trudeau romance takes major shocking turn

Katy Perry apparently has a very simple rule when it comes to love: if you want something get it done for yourself.

The pop star is reportedly already thinking about marriage with boyfriend Justin Trudeau, and according to Closer magazine, she has no interest in waiting around for him to choose the engagement ring.

“There is no doubt in Katy’s mind that Justin is the one,” shared an insider close to the singer, who split from Orlando Bloom in June 2025.

“She feels incredibly lucky to have found a man that excites her and makes her feel calm all at the same time. She says she feels safe in the relationship in a way that she’s never felt with any man in the past. She can be herself entirely, and Justin completely accepts her and praises her for it. Even when she’s got no make-up on and a frumpy outfit, he still tells her she’s the prettiest girl in the world,” it added.

“She’s a very alpha-type person, and he has no problem letting her lead, which really suits her well because she does like to be in charge. And he’s got no issues with her having a whole lot more money than he does, either, which is another relief. She doesn’t have to play small to stroke his ego – he’s totally confident to the point where he’s perfectly happy letting her pick out her own engagement ring and paying for it too.”

The Firework crooner has also been openly gushing about the relationship, recently calling Trudeau “definitely on a different level” from her previous partners and saying, “He’s just there to support.”

“I feel like a more grounded person in so many aspects of my life. I am very in love,” she previously said, describing him as an “anchor” who “finally makes me feel really whole now.”

Nothing has been officially announced, but the ring rumors are certainly getting louder.

And apparently, she knows exactly what she wants.

“The sort of ring she’s got her eye on costs a lot more than Justin would probably want to pay,”insider noted.

“Plus, she hates the idea of putting him in a weird position as much as she hates the idea of wearing a ring that isn’t exactly what she wants, so she’d honestly rather pay for it.”

Because apparently, even engagement rings need to pass her approval process.
