Prince William shows glimpse of monarchy's future with change in royal role

Prince William had undertaken an important task on behalf of King Charles, which seemed to have proved that monarchy is in good hands, according to a body language expert.

The Prince of Wales had travelled to Oslo, Switzerland to attend the funeral of the late King Harald V, alongside his aunt Princess Anne. As the heir to the throne, William acted as a stand-in for Charles and Anne was attending in a personal capacity.

It is no secret that William has big plans to change the way the monarchy works once he ascends to the throne, but this was evident on his mannerisms when he conducted himself for the diplomatic event.

The expert shared that this was a glimpse of the “evolutionary” leadership that William will be adopting for his destined role.

“His height and his increasingly easy elegance show how well he slides into a diplomatic role on the world stage," expert Judi James told HELLO!. “Diplomacy is never a given for a royal and many male royals have been better known for a more irascible and challenging style.”

However, William’s “non-verbal signals suggest a man able to read and anticipate situations and register empathy, plus an ability to synchronise with people around him rather than dominating in the way that many royals tend to”.

King Charles is likely to witness the way William stood out with his “pose of quiet, calm, focused dignity”. The King already approves much of what William has in store as he knows that he would one day leave the monarchy in his hands.
