Julien Baker surprises fans with unreleased songs during live pop-up

Julien Baker has entered her comeback era as she focuses on solo music while her band Boygenius is on a break.

The 30-year-old indie rockstar performed a live show for an intimate crowd at The Blue Room inside Jack White’s Third Man Records, and sent fans into a frenzy - including those attending and on social media.

The Good News hitmaker performed iconic hits like Sprained Ankle, Hardline, and Tokyo along with three unreleased songs, supposedly from her upcoming album which she has been teasing.

Fans rushed to social media as soon as the videos went viral, and wrote, "YAYYYYYAYAY HARDCORE JB4," and "i’m so happy."

A third chimed in, "WOW," and "stop it rn oh my god."

More echoed, "julien baker harsh vocals album incoming i’ve prayed for times like this," and "HARDLINE, EVEN, TOKYO, AND SHADOWBOXING WHILE I WASNT THERE ARE YOU KIDDING ME," and "OH THIS ALBUM IS GONNA FU-- ME UPPPPP."

While one exclaimed, "HER VOICEEEE OH MY GOD IM SO OBSESSED."

Referring to Phoebe Bridgers, Lucy Dacus and Baker all releasing new music together, one fan wrote, "jb4 pb3 ld4 all i’m so happy within a year i might pass away if this becomes reality."
