Prince William is forced to make a big decision as soon as possible to protect his future role.
The future King will become the head of the Church of England one day, meaning he will be pressurised by the Archbishop or other church members to begin his reign with a clean heart and forgiveness.
Now, the question here is whether William stepped back because he was adamant about making peace with his younger brother Harry, as they are in close proximity as well.
Since Harry has returned to the UK with his family, the one major discussion has been the reunion between Princess Diana's sons.
Katie Nicholl told Hello! Magazine, "In many ways, Harry's really got William over a barrel because it will be very difficult with them being geographically so much closer and Harry being welcomed back into the royal fold by his father, at least, for William to be adamant that there will be no reconciliation."
The royal author suggests that William's future role might be a reason behind whether he decides to reconcile with Harry.
"As a future king and a Christian member of the royal family who will one day be head of the Church of England, I think there will be an expectation and some pressure on him to step up to the plate and be the bigger of the brothers and to show forgiveness.
"I think this move to Britain will accelerate that inevitable reconciliation which will have to come at some point," Katie said.
