Ryan Reynolds celebrates Blake Lively's birthday as new details about her legal battle emerge

Ryan Reynolds is making sure Blake Lively feels the love on her birthday as new details about her legal battle with Justin Baldoni emerge.

As the Gossip Girl alum marked her 39th birthday on Wednesday, August 25, TMZ published new details from Lively’s July 2025 deposition, including how she allegedly learned about the smear campaign she claims Baldoni launched against her.

But Reynolds wasn’t about to let the legal update overshadow his wife’s special day.

“August 25th is this family’s Super Bowl ™,” Reynolds, 49, began his birthday wish, sharing several photos of Lively and their four kids, daughters James, Inez, and Betty, and son Olin.

“Happy Birthday to the very best human I know,” the Deadpool star continued. “You’re not just another courageous and deeply kind genius. You’re also unreasonably cute. I know how lucky I am that you were born. Every time I’ve ever hit my head, it’s YOUR life that flashes before my eyes.”

Lively reshared the tribute on her Instagram Stories alongside several birthday wishes from friends and loved ones.

As expected, she did not address TMZ’s report, which claims that she first learned about Baldoni’s alleged smear campaign against her through her friend Ashley Avignone.

According to the outlet, Lively said Avignone told her that publicist Stephanie Jones had obtained former employee Jennifer Abel’s phone and discovered what Jones allegedly described as the “most disturbing messages she’d ever read” about Lively.

Lively testified that Jones attempted to contact her own publicist, Leslie Sloane, but was unsuccessful. Lively’s team later subpoenaed the messages from Jones for use in the legal proceedings.

Ultimately, Lively’s lawsuit against Baldoni was settled weeks before the scheduled trial.
