Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor final royal privilege stirs fresh controversy

King Charles ousted his disgraced brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor from the royal fold, stripping him of all honours and titles, including the ‘Prince’ style.

The shamed brother of the monarch was also booted out from the Windsor property, Royal Lodge, as taxpayers had an uproar over an alleged paedophile living in a massive royal mansion.

There is now also a discussion about removing him from the line of succession, which requires the approval of 14 commonwealth states. Three of them have already given their support for when that happens.

Despite having everything stripped away, Andrew continues hold a privilege as secret documents reveal surprising detail. According to Mail on Sunday, Andrew is due to receive a royal ceremonial funeral.

The controversial arrangement is part of the Government's so–called “bridge” plans, which lay out – far in advance and in meticulous detail – the funeral arrangements for members of the Royal Family.

Hence, when the time comes, Andrew would be buried at the Royal Burial Ground at Frogmore, a 33–acre private cemetery in Home Park, Windsor.

Although, a debate has been stirred over why someone accused of such harrowing actions should be given a royal funeral. The Epstein files have already exposed incriminating details of the interactions he had with the convicted financier and how deep those ties went.

It is possible that the monarch himself may not have much control on the matter, like when it comes to the line of succession.
