Prince Harry, Meghan make first joint outing after visiting Diana's grave

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to Canada together for a special evening to help support a meaningful cause.

This is the first time the couple made a outing together following their visit to the UK last month, which included meeting King Charles and visiting the final resting place of Princess Diana.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were dressed to the nines on Friday as they attended the David Foster Foundation’s star-studded 40th anniversary gala in Victoria.

The couple were there to support their longtime friends David Foster and Katharine McPhee.

Meghan was dressed in an elegant Greta Constantine gown. Moreover, she also seemed to have taken a lead out of the royal book as she wore Princess Diana’s sapphire and diamond earrings. Something Princess Kate does very often – to wear an ensemble or an accessory belonging to a late royal to honour their memory – for Princess Diana.

It is likely that the visit to Diana's grave had inspired Meghan to wear those earrings.

Following last year’s Invictus Games, where they made a joint appearance for the week-long sporting event, the couple once again found their way back to the place that holds many memories.

Before they got married, Meghan and Harry often stayed in the country for its privacy. Moreover, this was also their first stop after exiting the royal family in 2020, before they claimed Montecito as their home.
