Prince William and Harry’s quiet reunion revealed despite distance

Prince William and Prince Harry’s strained relationship grew after the brothers went their separate ways during Harry’s latest visit to the UK.

Harry returned to Britain in July for a significant private meeting with his father, King Charles, marking the first known face-to-face meeting between the two since the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.

Yet William was nowhere to be seen, with the Prince of Wales instead attending the Royal Charity Polo Cup at Windsor Great Park.

The brothers’ absence from one another’s schedules has renewed interest in when they last actually came face-to-face.

William and Harry were last seen together publicly at their father’s coronation at Westminster Abbey in May 2023.

Although both took part in the historic occasion, they kept their distance inside the abbey, with Harry seated several rows behind William alongside his cousins, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

The televised ceremony offered little sign of interaction between the brothers, and Harry left Britain shortly afterwards to return to California for his son Archie’s fourth birthday.

The princes reportedly crossed paths again in August 2024 at the funeral of their late mother Princess Diana’s brother-in-law, Lord Robert Fellowes, in Norfolk.

Both attended the service at St Mary's Church in Snettisham, where family and friends gathered to remember the former private secretary to Queen Elizabeth II.

Unlike the coronation, the funeral was a private family occasion, meaning there were no photographs showing the brothers together.

Reports at the time suggested that William and Harry did not speak to one another or sit together during the service.
