Demi Moore has opened up about posing garment-free and pregnant for her Vanity Fair cover in 1991.

On the latest episode of The Oprah Podcast, the 62-year-old American actress conversed with the host, Oprah Winfrey, where they reminisced about her iconic magazine cover in which she posed undraped while being pregnant.

Moore, who welcomed her three daughters with ex-husband Bruce Willis, said she did not try to make a "big feminist statement;" rather, she "was trying to claim more of myself."

The Substance star explained, “For me, life is all about transformation and growth, and that everything else is in service to that. And so for me, it was a moment of really wanting to just authentically express how I was feeling as a pregnant woman.”

She added, "I didn't understand why it was supposed to hidden or not celebrated, and so it's not like I set out to go, 'I'm making a big feminist statement.'" (sic)

"I think it was about trying to claim more of myself because... I didn't come from having a lot of me, so everything was in trying to find that and then express it as genuinely as I possibly could,” Moore noted.
