Cher’s son Elijah Blue Allman was rushed to a hospital after he overdosed on drugs on June 14, 2025.

As per the recent findings of RadarOnline.com, a source close to the songstress, candidly shares a rare update about his health and steps that she is following to protect her son from addiction.

The Crimson & Clover singer was "very lucky to have survived" the incident, as he was released from the hospital within a few days of being admitted.

"A lot of experts say that tough love is the only way to handle an addict, and Cher seems to be subscribing to that philosophy," the insiders said.

Revealing how the 79-year-old singer is protecting the 48-year-old singer , the source continued, "Cher (has taken) a giant step back and stopped paying for anything. It's plunged him into an even worse place mentally than he was in already."
