Lauren Sánchez is letting everyone in on the pure "magic" behind her wedding dress.

The former journalist, 55, married billionaire Jeff Bezos, 61, on Friday on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy.

Sánchez shared an exclusive look at the wedding dress on Instagram shortly after the ceremony, revealing her custom Dolce&Gabbana Italian lace dress.

"Not just a gown, a piece of poetry. Thank you @dolcegabbana for the magic you made," Sánchez wrote about the dress that featured full-fitted sleeves, a mermaid-style silhouette, and 180 silk chiffon-covered priest buttons.

The photos offered an insider look at Sánchez's dress fittings. The Emmy-winning journalist began the work on her dream dress over a year and a half ago after meeting with Domenico Dolce in New York.

In Vogue's June 2025 digital cover story, Sánchez revealed how her high-necked, hand-appliquéd Italian lace wedding dress was inspired by celebrity Sophia Loren's dress when she married Cary Grant in the 1958 film Houseboat.

Sánchez acknowledged how her wedding dress was more modest than her initial "simple, sexy modern dress" preference.

“It went from ‘I want a simple, sexy modern dress’ to ‘I want something that evokes a moment,’ and where I am right now," she told the outlet. "I am a different person than I was five years ago."

In a video posted by Vogue on Instagram, Sánchez said, "It just feels like, I don't know, it carries everything I've walked through to get here. It's elegant, it's timeless, it's soft."

"Domenico really captured something that feels like where I am right in this moment, right now," she continued.
