Allison Williams recently got candid and opened up about bonding with M3GAN child star Violet McGraw.
While catching up with PEOPLE magazine, the 37-year-old American actress talked about developing chemistry with her 10-year younger costar in a hit 2022 science fiction horror film.
"I made the mistake of saying that I preferred Harry Potter to Lord of the Rings very early in our relationship. She literally wouldn't talk to me for a little while afterwards,” Williams said of McGraw, who is 14-year-old now.
McGraw, who portrayed Cady, niece to Williams' Gemma in the film, articulated her thoughts by quipping, "I was such a hardcore Lord of the Rings stan that I thought watching other fantasy stuff would be betraying Middle-earth. When she said Harry Potter I was legit bummed."
"After we wrapped the first film, I binged all the Harry Potter movies and became obsessed. So this time, I could finally talk with Allison about them. I totally get the love. I’m a Hufflepuff, by the way,” the Black Widow star revealed.
Notably, despite their different preferences when it comes to movies, both co-stars got back together to make M3GAN 2.0, the much-awaited sequel that has more action.
Calling to mind, Williams shared, "This time around, when she showed up, the first thing she said to me, she's like, 'Guess what? I like Harry Potter now.' I was like, this is going to be great; I'm going to win."
Also, the pair’s bond grew stronger because both adore the same pop star, as The Perfection actress conceded, "When we started singing Taylor Swift between takes, it was done, and we are sisters forever. We have the same taste in music. I hope I get to always have Violet in my life."
"We just bonded hard this movie," Williams, who also serves as the producer of M3GAN movies, admitted.
"Allison and I totally bonded over being Swifties. We’d geek out about Taylor Swift’s songs all the time. And I taught her some trending TikTok dances — we had a blast learning the 'Apple' dance together. Honestly, we’re always having the best time,” Violet McGraw mentioned.
It is pertinent to mention that M3GAN 2.0 is set to hit theatres on June 27, 2025, under the banner of Universal Pictures.
