Leonardo DiCaprio's father, George DiCaprio is reportedly banking on his lad’s fame to enter politics.
As per the latest findings of RadarOnline.com, the 80-year-old father “is using Leo to get in the room."
Reportedly, this was the reason why the A-listed star recently dined with a number of businessman at Rao’s including Bruce Blackman, a former commissioner for the New York-New Jersey Port Authority, as well as a Nassau County legislator and Hempstead town councilman.
The Titanic actor reportedly acted as per his father’s instructions and interacted with several fans at the exclusive gathering.
"He was just trying to be a good boy," said a tipster of Leo.
They went on to shed light on George’s strategy by mentioning, "George's calculated use of his son's image comes at a risky time. Leonardo has garnered acclaim for his environmental activism – most notably through the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, which has donated over $100 million to good causes since 1998."
"George may be attempting to redirect that goodwill toward political capital, repackaging Leo’s celebrity not as a headline tool but as a door-opener within conservative power structures," they remarked and claimed that Leo is being a "dutiful son."
"Whether Hollywood will embrace or reject George’s ambitions remains uncertain – but one thing is clear: with his 80th birthday behind him, he appears determined to embark on a late-stage career pivot, banking on his son’s fame to blaze a new political path," the spy concluded.
