Actor Johnny Depp recently got honest about his experiences raising his daughter Lily-Rose and son Jack, with his ex.
The topic arose during his candid interview with The Sunday Times where the star lamented his days as an empty nester.
“Years get away from us, don't they?...” he started by saying. “I'm of the empty-nest syndrome. “
A bit later he was even quizzed about whether he misses the closeness with his kids, now that they’ve grown and turned into adults.
“Oh man,” he exclaimed before gushing over the fact that his kids were able to grow up “in the south of France in their youth”.
Depp even took a trip down memory lane and said, “I was Papa. I cannot tell you how much I loved being Papa.”
But with age “suddenly, Papa was out the window. I was Dad. But Papa was awesome and I'm getting old enough for Papa to possibly come back.”
The actor even jibed “some m*****f*****’s going to have to call me Papa!”
The conversation did not end there either, instead Depp revealed his preferences for France over the US as well.
“I don't spend much time in the US,” he said while explaining his reasons. “So there is the joint in the Bahamas or here. But home.”
Not to mention “truly, the first time I felt I had a home was the place in the south of France where Vanessa and I raised the kiddies,” he admitted near the end.
