Prince William and Kate Middleton just paid tribute to a talent lost to cancer.
The Prince and Princess of Wales sent over a gift to the family of Liz Hatton, a teenage photographer who succumbed to her battle with a rare form of blood cancer last year.
As per PEOPLE magazine, Liz’s mother, Vicky Robayna, revealed that the couple gifted the family the Ice N Roses Early Rose.
A thoughtful gesture on behalf of William and Kate since the blooming date of the flower would be due around Liz’s upcoming death anniversary.
Detailing the relationship Liz had with the royals, Vicky revealed, "Liz always said they were two of the most genuine people she ever met, and I think they were just so kind and so down to earth. They were very good with both the children.”
She continued, "Liz would have said that her favourite part of the whole experience was the way they were with Mateo [Liz's younger brother]. He was really shy and they had him chatting away at the end. She really loved them for that."
"It felt like walking into an extended family and having arms wrapped around you,” Vicky added.
For the inversed, Prince William and Kate Middleton met Liz in 2024, when she was invited as a photographer to click snaps of the investitures happening at Windsor Castle at the time.
Following the meeting, the Prince and Princess tweeted: "A pleasure to meet with Liz at Windsor today. A talented young photographer whose creativity and strength has inspired us both. Thank you for sharing your photos and story with us. W&C."
