Prince William and Prince George were spotted in the stands during Aston Villa’s recent match, with Football pundit Ally McCoist describing their bond as “medical.”
The Prince of Wales continued what’s fast becoming a father-son tradition with his and Kate Middleton’s eldest son.
Dressed in club colours, the father-son duo cheered from the sidelines as they drew attention not just for their royal presence but for the ease and warmth they shared.
According to GB News, McCoist shared how George seems to have inherited his father’s allegiance, noting William’s strong support for the Birmingham club last season.
"What it showed to everybody is just what a big football fan the prince is,” he said.
McCoist continued, "It was magical to see, just like any dad and his son watching and cheering their favourite team when a goal's gone in, and a wonderful look at the prince probably in an environment that a lot of people, myself included, wouldn't expect to see him."
TV producers were impressed when William joined Rio Ferdinand and Ally McCoist to talk football before Aston Villa’s Champions League match against PSG in April.
The clip featuring William discussing the game also went viral on the internet and got nearly a million views on TNT’s social media in just one day.
During the chat, Ferdinand jokingly reacted to how much William knew about football. "Can I just say something? Do not go for a punditry job please - because I could be out of a job!"
As per the publication, a source later revealed that the future King “absolutely loved the experience and would 100% be up for doing it again.”
They added that the Prince of Wales believes "the beautiful game has the power to bring communities together."
