Brooklyn Beckham’s snub has overshadowed his dad David Beckham’s lifelong dream coming true, according to recent reports.
The former football legend’s long-awaited knighthood has finally been announced but his family feud with his eldest son has taken the spotlight.
He is set to become “Sir David” after being named in King Charles’ birthday honours list with wife Victoria Beckham set to receive the title “Lady Beckham.”
However, the joy of the moment has been dampened by an ongoing fallout with Brooklyn, as reported by Heat Magazine.
While David is expected to attend the Buckingham Palace ceremony with Victoria and their younger children, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz won’t be joining.
“David has waited for this moment for so many years – it’s his crowning achievement,” the insider said. “He’s spent so much time dreaming of being knighted, mapping out how that day would go and how he’d celebrate with the entire family following the ceremony.”
“Sadly there’s no question of Brooklyn being involved,” the insider added. “The whole family is disgusted with him.”
“It’s left a very dark cloud over everyone at the worst possible time. Barring some type of miracle there’s no way Brooklyn’s going to be there."
The source went on to share how the whole Beckham clan is “devastated by the current situation.”
“The tension had been brewing for a while, but no one thought in a million years that it would turn this toxic,” they added.
