Princess Eugenie, who recently celebrated the arrival of her third baby in Portugal, has taken a clear decision on how she wants to conduct herself with the royal family, especially after her father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s shame.
While Princess Beatrice has remained in Britain amid the chaos, Eugenie had chosen to stay out and focus on her growing family. According to a royal expert, this came as a smart move from the princess as it secures her future with the royals and in public.
Beatrice and Eugenie have been in constant scrutiny ever since the Epstein files exposed Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, forcing them into keeping a low-profile. Royal expert Richard Fitzwillams claimed that Eugenie appears “freer” than her older sister.
“Beatrice and Eugenie have had an extremely tough period whilst their parents are publicly disgraced. Yet there has been a change in the perception of Eugenie,” Richard told DailyMail.
Eugenie seems clearly repelled by her father’s behaviour while Beatrice still seems to hold a soft spot as she was closest to him.
This remark comes at the heels of an ongoing debate on whether King Charles's nieces, being non-working royals, should continue to hold their titles and the perks that come with it.
British taxpayers have expressed that the titles should be removed but there is no indication as of yet that the Palace will be compelled into doing so.
