Taylor Swift becomes Inde Navarrette's ‘SNL' hosting debut muse

Inde Navarrette has found her Saturday Night Live hosting debut muse and it’s none other than Taylor Swift.

As the actress gets ready to take on the iconic stage, she revealed that the pop superstar’s own SNL experience is inspiring her to bring her very own ideas to the monologue.

The 13 Reasons Why star said she has already been jotting down sketch ideas as she prepares for the highly anticipated hosting gig.

“I am writing down sketch ideas, ’cause I have been watching SNL since I was a little girl. I really want to do her justice,” she said.

Then came the the Eras Tour superstar’s connection. “I heard that Taylor Swift, whenever she did it, wrote her own monologue, so I really, really, really want to come in with myself and my own ideas,” the Superman & Lois actress’ added.

For her, the opportunity is clearly more than another item on her résumé. Having grown up watching the NBC’s comedy sketch, she understands the significance of stepping onto a stage that has been home to some of entertainment’s biggest comedic moments.

And rather than arriving with a completely predetermined idea of what her hosting debut should look like, Navarrette, 25, appears eager to contribute creatively.
