Jennifer Aniston and Jim Curtis apparently don’t need a relationship sledgehammer—at least not yet.
The couple, who have been together for around a year and a half, have kept their romance mostly private.
Now, Jim, 50, has offered a rare glimpse into how he and Jennifer, 57, handle the occasional disagreement.
Speaking on The Jamie Kern Lima Show while promoting his book The Book of Possibility, the hypnotherapist was asked whether he and Aniston use his four-line relationship prayer: “I’m sorry. I’m listening. Thank you. I love you.”
“We do a lot of meditation, we do a lot of talk. We don’t use this particular prayer. We have. But it’s very easy,” Jim said.
“Jen and I have been together a year and a half, so this tool isn’t the first tool that we go to,” he clarified, adding that they focus on “meditation, acceptance, understanding.”
His verdict? “In the honeymoon phase, your tools don’t have to be like big sledgehammers.”
Jim was equally gushy about his girlfriend, describing her as “so grounded” and “loving”.
“I feel blessed to be in a relationship with someone that is so open-hearted and kind and loving,” he said.
Their romance is about to become slightly more public. Jim will appear at New York’s 92nd Street Y this week, where Aniston is set to interview him onstage during his book promotion.
But reports claim some of Aniston’s friends are concerned she is becoming too focused on Jim’s career while stepping back from her own. An insider said, “Jen’s priorities have clearly shifted.”
The source added that Aniston is even interested in training as a hypnotherapist herself.
Still, another insider claims Jennifer is perfectly happy with her choices, saying, “What she values most now is love and the life she’s building with Jim.”
