Major AI platforms reportedly suffered widespread outages on Thursday night, leaving users worldwide unable to access ChatGPT, Claude, OpenAI and Grok, according to Anadolu Agency.

Outage-monitoring platform Downdetector said user reports indicated problems with OpenAI beginning at 10.56 am EDT (1456GMT).

Users also reported disruptions affecting Claude and Grok, while problems were reported with Google's Gemini.

Cloudflare also experienced reported problems beginning at 11.12 am EDT (1512GMT), according to Downdetector.

The cause of the disruptions was not immediately clear.
