Prince William and Prince Harry's uncle, Charles Spencer, issued an emotional message to mark the sombre event.
Today, August 31, the world lost an iconic figure, the People's Princess, Diana, in a tragic car accident.
Her untimely death not only hurt her well-wishers across the globe, but this day every year is quite difficult to process for her loved ones.
On Instagram, Diana's brother, Charles Earl Spencer, shared a few photos of Althorp House, the Princess' childhood home and her final resting place.
"31 August. My least favourite day," Charles captioned the post.
Speaking of the chances of Harry and William's much-awaited reunion to honour their mother, it is said to be quite slim.
Jennie Bond told the Mirror, "This year is probably too early, but perhaps at the commemorations next year...This year, though, William and Harry will undoubtedly remember her in their own way – and, sadly, separately."
