Taylor Swift praised for heartwarming gesture

Taylor Swift has changed the lives of a family going through a terrible time with a huge act of kindness.

The singer donated $50,000 to help Ashley Taunton, a 42 year old mom of three, after she was seriously injured while trying to help others.

Ashley was driving through Rhode Island in July when she saw a crashed car with three teenagers inside.

She immediately stopped to help them after their car hydroplaned.

But tragedy struck again moments later.

Another car hydroplaned in the same area and Ashley was hit. During the terrifying moment, she reportedly pushed another person out of danger and was badly injured herself.

Her friend Laura said, “In a split second act of pure bravery, Ashley pushed the other person out of harm's way, taking the brunt of the impact herself.”

Ashley has already gone through two major surgeries and her recovery has been difficult.

Now, Taylor has stepped in to help the family with her $50,000 donation.

The money will help Ashley's family as they deal with travel costs, medical bills and everyday expenses while she continues her long recovery.

Taylor helped many people over the years, but this latest act of kindness will mean the world to one family when they need support the most.
