Prince Harry makes heartfelt promise to 'scared' Meghan amid threats

Prince Harry comforted his 'scared' wife, Meghan Markle, after the Sussexes took a daring step.

The Montecito-based couple relocated to the UK with their children in the hope of giving them a quality education and a chance to build ties with their grandfather, King Charles and the royal family.

However, it was not an easy decision for them. They were reportedly not on board earlier.

According to Closer, Harry gave an ultimatum to Meghan and put her in a tough spot by putting two difficult options in front of her. "Move back with me, or it’s over."

However, Meghan understood that power is in being united rather than creating conflict. But she was scared of the 'traumatic' few years she lived in the UK after marrying the Prince.

"Harry has promised her that this time is completely different. They aren’t working royals. They intend to control their own lives and their own narrative," an insider said.

From her business point of view, the Duchess also think about how she can make the most of it by staying close to royals.

But Harry, Meghan and their children are not given taxpayer-funded security, which means there is still a major risk.

A former royal protection officer, Scott Hamer, rang alarm bells for the Sussexes.

Speaking with ITV News, he said, "We currently have eight non-working prime ministers who are in receipt of police protection that is paid for by the public. The threats and risks to Prince Harry are far greater."
