North West may already be building a music career, but the 13-year-old has her eyes on something surprisingly ordinary, too: a job at Starbucks.
In a new interview for Dazed’s autumn 2026 issue, Kim Kardashian and Ye’s daughter opened up about her plans, revealing that music isn’t simply a hobby she picked up for fun.
She sees it as something she genuinely wants to pursue.
Asked about the worst advice she has received, North didn’t hesitate.
“To start my career later. It’s like, nah, this is my hobby, this is what I like to do, this is what I wanna do with my life.”
The teenager already has a serious routine, saying she would happily spend her ideal day rehearsing, recording and performing.
“I don’t like to rest a lot,” North said. “I like to get stuff done. So maybe just going to rehearsal, and then going to the studio; that’s a perfect day. Or having a big show would be the most ideal day.”
North released her six-track debut EP, N0rth4evr, at 12 and has since performed at Summer Smash and released the horror-inspired video for Aishite.
She also named Lil Uzi Vert’s Pink Tape as an influence and said the rapper is one of her dream collaborators.
But between studio sessions and stages, North wants to experience something much more relatable.
“I wanna work at, like, Starbucks next year. I think I can next year ’cause I’m gonna be 14, so… I think I can. I want to have a regular job, I guess,” she said.
She even admitted she wants to “get better at interviews.”
Celebrity kid or not, apparently everyone starts somewhere — even if that somewhere is behind the Starbucks counter.
