Anne Hathaway claps back at trolls questioning fake baby bump

Anne Hathaway had a witty response ready for social media critics who questioned whether her visible baby bump was real.

After stepping out at the premiere of The End of Oak Street in Burbank on August 9 wearing a look that showed off her pregnancy, some online commenters claimed her belly looked "fake" or prosthetic.

Hathaway addressed it head-on in an August 10 Instagram post, captioning a behind-the-scenes video from the event: "Fake hair, real bump. Enjoy the @endofoakstreet Block Party chaos with me as my outfit literally melts in the heat!!"

Hathaway, who is expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman, announced the pregnancy in June with a video captioned "x Baby, I'm yours x," accompanied by a heartfelt note about her fertility journey.

"All kidding aside, for everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love."

She and Shulman, married since 2012, are already parents to sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6.

This isn't the first time her maternity looks have drawn online chatter, in July, fans pointed out she'd apparently worn a red jumpsuit backwards, which she good-naturedly confirmed with a laugh in a follow-up video.
