Taylor Swift has responded to Trump administration who had been using her hit songs on social media to promote their political motives, along with other artists.
The 36-year-old pop superstar, who had been silent about her songs being used until now, has now shut down the conversation by removing the audios from TikTok videos set to her songs.
Many videos from the US president's team - including one with Opalite, Father Figure, august are now muted on the social media app.
As soon as fans noticed that the Grammy winner had taken action against the administration, they took to X and applauded her move.
A Swiftie wrote, "mind u the maximum amount of copyright strikes an account can get is 3 before it gets taken down..... oh so that's why she's moving now," and another added, "She will never be the MAGA person they all want her to be desperately."
A third chimed in, "trump is deliberately looking for a reaction right? so childish and embarrassing. sadly our reality is that an official government acts like a toddler throwing a tantrum," and "Taylor swifts says, you may be a boss of America but I'm the boss to my songs."
More praised, "how can i not say mother," and "see how she didn’t give them attention or more promo like they wanted by responding to them???"
