Renee Rapp just revealed that creating music brought back the happiness in her life.

The singer-songwriter, who is gearing up to release her second studio album, Bite Me, told Paper Magazine, "I had that excitement back the last seven months of making the album," she shared. "It was unbridled joy. I am so proud of myself and impressed with the work we've done."

"This is exactly why I fell in love with this in the first place,” the 25-year-old added.

However, the Too Well hitmaker admitted that she also does feel pressure as the release date approaches.

"Now as we're getting into it actually coming out, the anxiety and nervousness and deep-rooted fear are coming up more," she told the publication.

"I hope it continues to feel fun but I also think I'm very scared from doing all those festivals and being really depressed last year,” the Mean Girls star mentioned.

Renee continued, "I'm honestly afraid to keep performing at this moment. I don't want to feel that again. I'm running away from that."

The musician performed her lead single, Leave Me Alone, from the album, at the American Music Awards last month and called the experience "really fun" but also "really stressful."

"It was really stressful because we just didn't have our s**t together and I was really frustrated and had a lot going on," she recalled, adding, "But I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and I don't usually come off stage being like, That was so fun. It just feels good."

Renee Rapp is expected to launch her album, Bite Me, her 2023 debut studio album Snow Angel follow-up, on August 1.
