Brad Pitt and F1: The Movie director Joseph Kosinski are gushing over filming the thunderous film during real races.

Abu Dhabi Film Commission and Creative Media Authority has released a short promotional video to show how the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and Yas Marina Circuit provided a perfect filming location for F1.

The movie began filming during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December 2024 on the Yas Marina Circuit.

Brad Pitt and co-star Damson Idris shot scenes with their team. A total of 29 days worth of filming Was done on the location.

Kosinski praised the location as an "ideal place to film" because it’s "such a distinct setting in such a beautiful location."

He noted that "all 10 teams [in the race] allowed us to shoot a scene for an hour" which was "a really incredible experience."

Executive producer Tim Bampton chimed in, pointing out that “bringing in a major movie production to create an 11th team in the pit lane was a really unprecedented endeavor."

"We had every car in their team," added the Troy star, calling it "just amazing."

F1, executive produced by world champion Lewis Hamilton, is reportedly the first film to show real race footage from a live Grand Prix.

Filming was also done during other live Formula 1 races, including the British Grand Prix and the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

Brad Pitt starring F1: The Movie is now in cinemas.
